Take a stroll down memory lane on the Muswellbrook Heritage Walk. This 4.5 km walk throughout Muswellbrook CBD includes 40 different items of historical significance. You can start and stop at any point and pick up again at another time where you left off. Fine old buildings, grand country homes, and jacaranda lined streets.  You can pick up a copy of the Muswellbrook Heritage Town Walk from the Visitor Information Centre.

The Upper Hunter’s Autumn social event is Muswellbrook Cup Day providing an unforgettable experience at one of the best regional racing tracks in Australia. The country charm of racing at Muswellbrook has not been lost despite the relative close proximity to the cities of Newcastle and Sydney. Just a short drive from Sydney and you can experience country racing the way it should be.

Muswellbrook Shire consists of two larger towns, Muswellbrook and Denman, as well as a number of outlying rural communities including Sandy Hollow, Wybong, Baerami, Martindale, McCullys Gap, Widden and Muscle Creek.
