It is with great joy and excitement that conservation organisation Aussie Ark announces the reopening of its facility to the public. The long-awaited resumption of their Devils in the Wild tours and the reopening of their Devils Retreat are scheduled to come into effect as of June 6th.
Located high in the hills of the Barrington Tops of NSW, Aussie Ark provides a rare insight into its on-the-ground conservation initiatives. Unfortunately, the organisation had to close its doors to the public due to government restrictions following the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus.
Aussie Ark President Tim Faulkner explains: “We were saddened to have had to restrict the admission to the Ark for so long. But it was for everyone’s safety.”
In wake of the easement of government restrictions, Aussie Ark feels that it is safe to resume Devils in the Wild tours as well as hosting visitors at Devils Retreat – the organisation’s overnight accommodation located just 10kms from Aussie Ark’s facility.
“Aussie Ark’s team is eager to welcome once again our wonderful supporters. A visit to the Ark is a great way to learn about our 7 flagship species with keepers that are dedicated to the survival of these species.” continues Mr Faulkner.
Visitors from all over the world are able to relax, unwind and learn about some of Australia’s endangered species in the comfort of the gorgeous grassland and forests of the Barrington Tops. The wide open spaces of Aussie Ark’s facility allows visitors to connect with nature whilst getting in touch with their wild side in a unique and nature-based environment. In addition, by being outdoors, the Ark is at low-risk. Visitors are therefore able to enjoy their experience without having to worry about health related repercussions.
Moreover, for the remaining weeks, the conservation organisation commits to following strict/specific security and health measures to ensure safe and pleasant tours for its visitors.
