Join Tim Faulkner for a unique hands-on experience with this Tasmanian devil and Eastern quoll captive breeding program in the beautiful Barrington Tops of NSW staying at Devils Retreat (for more info click here). You’ll get to see devils up close as you assist with feeding and monitoring individuals. In addition to working with the animals, there’ll be opportunities to explore the region’s natural treasures and spot local wildlife at night. Don’t miss your chance to get involved in this important conservation effort. This is a once in a life time experience, like no other in Australia!

Itinerary

Day 1
- 9am – Meet at Australian Reptile Park for departure to Devil Ark and bypassing train stations if needed
- 1pm – Stop at Victoria Hotel for a catered lunch – main meal + drink covered by DA
- 2pm – Depart and check in at Devil Ark house
- 3pm – Head to Devil Ark site where you will:
- Meet joeys
- Feed out
- Change water
- Pouch check
- Conservation work
- Social feed (i.e. feed an enclosure and watch them from a distance)
- 5pm – Dinner of an Aussie BBQ and bonfire
- After Dark – Spotlighting where you may see:
- Echidnas
- Wombats
- Possums
- Quolls
- Gliders
- Frogs
Day 2
- 7am – 8am – Hot Breakfast
- 8.30am – 10.30am – Devil Ark site where you will:
- Trap
- Pouch check
- Other activities
- 11am – 1pm – Devil Ark House where you will have lunch and a rest
- 2pm – 4pm – Barrington Tops National Park where you will:
- See waterfalls
- Spot wildlife
- Find unique rock features etc.
- 4pm – 5pm – Devil Social Feed
- 5pm – 7pm – Aussie BBQ Dinner, bonfire and spotlight.
Day 3
- 7am – Platypus viewing
- 8am – Hot Breakfast
- 9am – 11am – Optional dependency on group preference
- 12pm – Depart Devil Ark. Bus will drop off to train station (if needed) and then Australian Reptile Park
