Over forty business and tourism operators got together last Wednesday at an Upper Hunter Country Tourism (UHCT) ‘meet and mingle’ held at the Thoroughbred Hotel.

UHCT President Steve Tilse said it was vital that businesses, community committees and local council worked cooperatively to promote the Upper Hunter region.

“This is a great time to get involved with Upper Hunter Country Tourism,” he said

We are progressively improving our promotional tools for visitors to the region, particularly our visitor guide and our digital platforms. We produce 25,000 high quality visitor guides each year and reach over 11,500 unique customers through our Facebook page alone each month.

“Businesses that are part of these activities are benefiting from the exposure.”

“UHCT is beginning to work on the next visitor guide, we are upgrading our website to better promote members and are close to launching a new app that provides a self -drive and virtual stud tour.”

The UHCT Membership and Advertising Prospectus for 2017/2018 is available HERE.

The 68 page visitor guide promotes events, attractions, and activities from festivals to National Parks, in the Muswellbrook and Upper Hunter shires and also includes town maps, accommodation listings and a business directory.

The guide is available free at Visitor Information Centres (VICs) and from UHCT members.

UHCT is supported by the Upper Hunter and Muswellbrook shire councils.
