Upper Hunter Country Tourism on track with new guide for 2017

A stylish new publication for the Upper Hunter was launched last week, at the Upper Hunter Country Tourism (UHCT) annual general meeting.

The 68 page visitor guide promotes events, attractions, and activities from festivals to National Parks, in the Muswellbrook and Upper Hunter shires and also includes town maps, accommodation listings and a business directory.

The guide is available free at Visitor Information Centres (VICs) and from UHCT members.

The guide is just one of the initiatives UHCT is undertaking. Membership of UHCT has risen to 43, and new members from businesses to festival committees, are always welcome.

UHCT operates a website www.upperhuntercountry.com, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

A new app that provides a self -drive and virtual stud tour will be launched in 2017.

A new UHCT board was elected at the meeting. Steve Tilse of Omadale Brook Estate was elected President, Craig Benjamin Vice President, and Tamara Peterson as Treasurer. Outgoing President Peter Hale, who will still serve on the UHCT board, thanked the Upper Hunter and Muswellbrook shire councils for their ongoing support of the UHCT.
