Visitors who have a soft spot for small endangered cuddly animals can embark on a sight-seeing adventure into the wilderness at Tomalla and witness nature first hand at Devil Ark.
The Tasmanian devil conservation park is home to many devils, including a host of cute babies that are bred on site in the hills of the Barrington Tops.
Devil Ark was established by the Australian Reptile Park director John Weigel and other conservationists as a safe site to continue breeding the Tasmanian Devil and prevent its extinction from the disastrous devil facial tumour disease.
The first of its kind of insurance breeding project, it has already seen a boom in the little creatures with almost 200 healthy devils breeding. 2015 saw the first group of devils relocated from Tomalla to Tasmania!
Fully escorted two and a half hour tours are available running all year and includes a rare chance to witness wild devils in their natural habitat of the free range enclosures. Devil Ark is located two hours from Scone, fours hours from Newcastle and six hours from Sydney.
