The Australian Chamber Orchestra Concert and Long Lunch at Baerami Pines Retreat

An exclusive experience in the Upper Hunter; The Australian Chamber Orchestra Concert and Long Lunch at Baerami Pines Retreat and Masterclass at the Conservatorium of Music Muswellbrook

Thomas O’Neill of Baerami Pines Retreat is hosting two exclusive events featuring the internationally acclaimed Australian Chamber Orchestra at Baerami Pines Retreat this coming spring. Over the weekend of 16th and 17th September, he will host an intimate fundraising concert for the Orchestra’s National Education Program, with a special Masterclass for talented young musicians from the Conservatorium of Music the following day.

It is an opportunity to enhance the Upper Hunter Valley’s reputation for hosting unique cultural events.

Baerami Pines Retreat is a premium accommodation venue in the upper Hunter Valley. Built in 1936, the original church structure has been adapted and extended providing luxury accommodation which is nestled in the beautiful Wollemi National Park. The venue will partner with the ACO for this very special weekend, Sponsored by Baerami Pines Retreat and Two Rivers Wines.

The goals of these two programs are

1. Promote tourism with its associated community and business benefits.

2. Bring a world class series of musical events to the Upper Hunter Valley.

3. To expand on the spirit of educational opportunities for the ACO in rural region.

4. To foster educational opportunities for local young aspiring musicians

5. Model the development and coordination of similar events for the future

The Events

Event 1: Concert and Long Lunch – Saturday 16 September, 2017

This is an intimate concert for just 50 people which will be presented at Baerami Pines Retreat to support the ACO’s National Education Program. The concert will be followed by a long lunch in the beautiful gardens, sponsored by Baerami Pines Retreat and Two Rivers Winery.

 The ACO musicians are Lisa Palandi, Alexandru-Mihai Bota, Ike See and Danny Yeada.

Attendees will have the rare opportunity to experience these exciting players in a unique Upper Hunter Valley serene environment, before meeting them over a superb long lunch, prepared by Gerard Kaiser from Gerard’s Restaurant in Denman. Tickets for this event will be $150 for the concert and lunch (plus the ACO requests an additional voluntary tax deductible donation of $350 – total cost is $500).

Baerami Pines Retreat

Guests are requested to be at Baerami Pines Retreat at 1531 Bylong Valley Way by 12pm. For those wanting transport, a bus is scheduled to pick up passengers in Ogilvie Street, Denman at 11.30am, and will transfer guests back to their respective accommodation at 5.30pm. For those wishing to drive, parking is available at the retreat.

Event 2: ACO Masterclass – Sunday 17 September, 2017

Baerami Pines Retreat, in consultation with the ACO and the Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music(UHCM) in Muswellbrook, has also planned a free community event the following day, where three string musician students from the UHCM will take part in a special Masterclass led by two ACO musicians. The Master Class has been proudly sponsored by Baerami Pines Retreat, Walter Barda Design and David Paradice & Claire Pfister
