The races are a fun-filled family day, featuring the famous Noah's Racing Pigs plus market stalls, rides and laser tag for the kids. The pig racing promises to be great entertainment! When: 28 October 2017 Where: Murrurundi RSL, Murrurundi Centenary of Beersheba Day at Murrurundi Commemorating the charge of 800 Australian troops and horses into gunfire at the Battle of Beersheba. For 23 years an Upper Hunter town has held a commemoration to honour their efforts. The Murrurundi Troop of the 12th Light Horse remember the courage of those who helped change the course of WW1 in the Middle East.
